Cooking Instructions

Basic Cooking (For Daily Meals) This is the standard method to use it as a substitute for white rice with sambar or curries.
Soaking: Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it for at least 8–10 hours (overnight is best). Do not discard the soaking water; it contains many nutrients.

Water Ratio: Use 2.5 to 3 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice.

Cooking Method:

Pressure Cooker: Cook for 3 to 6 whistles on medium heat, then simmer on low for another 5 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally.
Open Pot: Boil with a 1:3 ratio for 30–45 minutes until soft.
